The 1, 2, 3 Multi-age Program here at Chautauqua Elementary has many community and family supporters to thank. Without these generous people and their contributions of time, resources and money our rich and varied program would suffer. So thanks!!!

Roy McMakin and the Shore Family 2009

Thanks to local artist and businessperson Roy McMakin and Bridget and Scott Shore we now have lights for our school stage! We applied for a grant through donorschoose.org and it was generously funded by the lovely people just mentioned.

2009 Vashon Artists in the Schools Grants

Vashon Artists in the Schools is a collaborative partnership between Vashon Allied Arts and the Vashon School District.

This year the multi-age benefitted from the expert help of Carolyn Candy to put on two performances.
Gerie Wilson's class performed an creative and beautiful collage of Chinese stories, puppetry and more.
Glenda Berliner and Tina Taylor's class performed the play Goin' Buggy on the big stage.
Also VIAS funded materials for back-stage curtains that are now a permanent part of our stage.
We would all like to express our gratitude to Carolyn and the VAIS for helping to provide these performance opportunities for our students.

2009 Partners in Education Grant

Partners in Education(PIE) has granted us enough funds this year to purchase materials to finally finish the garden gate!  A generous volunteer, Jon Schroeder, has given the gift of his time to construct the gate.  Check to garden to see the new, welcoming, kid-friendly entrance soon!

If we forgot somebody, please excuse the ommision temporarily and let us know so we can add you to this illustrious collection of generous people!
